Well hello there. My name is Margarita (no, I was not named after the beverage) and I'm a first year student here at SB. I'm still undeclared, but intend on majoring in communication and eventually hope to end up in the movie/entertainment industry doing cool stuff like advertising and promotion. I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, moved to Los Angeles when I was about nine years old, and lived there ever since.
Since I was about four, my parents attempted to expose and introduce to me as many topics of life and occupations as possible. This led to frequent visits to my grandma's microbiology department, museums, daily dance practices, language lessons and dance classes. I guess eventually all those attempts did lead to something productive, seeing as that not only did I grow up to be a fairly well-rounded person, but also found hobbies that I genuinely enjoy participating in. Those hobbies are painting and dancing, both of which I have been doing for over seven years now.
I'm a sucker for good conversation and really enjoy stimulating discussions, which I've participated in more often since my arrival to SB. Other than that, I also deeply value the friendships and connections I make, and believe that everyone you encounter alters your life in even the slightest bit of ways. I can't even imagine how different my life would be right now had I not met the people I currently live with.
I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me and Im incredibly excited to make lasting memories, meet amazing people, and learn valuable things.
